Poul Gernes

Poul Gernes (1925-1996) was a Danish artist associated with the international avant-garde movement. He is known for his colorful and geometric abstract paintings and sculptures, as well as his collaborative projects with architects and other artists. Gernes was a founding member of the art collective “Den Eksperimenterende Kunstskole” and his work has been exhibited extensively in Denmark and abroad.
